About Us

History

Marlboro Pest Control, Inc. was started in 1985 by Roy Hansen, Sr., father of the present owner, Roy Hansen, Jr. We have been providing complete residential, commercial, and industrial pest control services to Marlborough and the surrounding communities since then. For many years, our offices were on Ferrecchia Drive in Marlborough.

Our business is expanding and we have recently moved to new offices on Boston Post Road (Route 20) to be able to support our growth and to be more accessible to our clients.

We are dedicated to serving our clients using modern products and technology with a personal touch. We bring a knowledge based on experience of the local buildings, soil, climate, pests, and people. Most of our service plans include a warranty to control your pests for a fixed cost, even if it means extra visits.

Monthly Pest Carpenter Ants

Carpenter ant identification

Most ants are small and nest underground, only rarely becoming anything more than a nuisance. Carpenter ants (see photo top), on the other hand, are large ants that nest above ground in cavities such as tree stumps and sometimes in the walls, subfloors or roofs of our houses where they can cause extensive and expensive damage.

 Carpenter ants are generally larger than 3/8" and all black or red and black. Winged ants may be present in late spring but like other ants, most of the year carpenter ants are wingless
