| Summary
We have provided pest control services
to many commercial and industrial structures for over
twenty years and understand the needs and common pests
of eastern Massachusetts. We treat structures of all
sizes, from small restaurants and bank branches,
to large warehouses and multistory office buildings. We
offer cost-effective customized
ongoing contracts for pest control. Our services to
contractors are especially effective because our
owner is a licensed builder and understands not only the
structural needs, but also the legal requirements for
construction and demolition. We also offer inspections and one-time
services on an as-needed basis.
Our case
studies will give you an idea of the range of
commercial services we offer. Please

Contracts
for Ongoing Pest Control
We offer a wide range of
customized contracts for inspection and treatment of
commercial and industrial structures. The terms of the
contract are based on an inspection of the property and
discussion with the owner or property manager.
Typically, we agree to inspect and treat as necessary on
a regular basis which is often monthly.
The contract can cover
all pests, or only those that we agree need regular
professional treatment. We have experience with pests
that are common in commercial and industrial structures
and how to treat for them in situation with minimum
disturbance to the work environment. In keeping with the
principles of integrated pest
management, we make specific recommendations about
how to avoid pest problems at your site. Good prevention
practices result in minimizing, or even eliminating the
need for pesticides.
We can also set up a
termite treatment plan that is suitable for commercial
buildings. See our termite
services page for details.

| Construction
Services |
We offer pre-construction
chemical termite treatment beneath the slab.
We can also advise on the different options in a
particular area with respect to building
materials and methods that would discourage pest
invasions. |
| Renovation
Services |
We can inspect a
structure that is being renovated to see if pest
control treatment is needed. Typical structural
pests found are powder post beetles, carpenter
ants, and termites. Sometimes, pest infestation
can be an obstruction to construction workers
and we can remove the pests to avoid this. And
example would be an active bees or wasp nest. If
there is extensive accumulation of animal
debris, such as bat or squirrel nests, we can
remove that safely and make sure there is no
residual secondary pest infestation. |
| Demolition
Services |
We inspect and
report on rodents before demolition. We can also
inspect for any other problems that a demolition
might encounter, such as termite infestation of
a structure that might indicate a need for
treatment of the site before new construction. |

Inspections
and One-Time Services
| Service |
Description |
| General
Inspections |
As with home inspections, we recommend
that even if no pests are reported, we inspect
for hidden or emerging problems. Sometimes we
would see signs of pests (for example, termites
or mice) that building inhabitants are not
reporting. It is cost-effective to treat these
infestations when they are minor. |
| Wood-Destroying
Insect Inspection and Report |
We provide a written report about
wood-destroying insects for wooden structures.
We can also recommend appropriate treatment or
repairs. |
| One-Time
Services |
Sometimes, there are specific problems
that need only occasional treatment as needed.
An example would be a wasp nest at the entrance
to an office building. We can usually correct
this kind of problem on a one-time basis without
a contract for additional service. |

Church:
Quarterly service for mouse inspection and treatment
when necessary
A local church and
rectory have had intermittent problems with mice. We
inspect quarterly for signs of mice, and close any entry
holes found in this older structure. Even so, mice can
enter the structure because doors are left open during
services. They are sometimes found in the kitchen area.
We check for good food storage practices, and point out
problems we see. We are on-call when mice are seen and
work with the church office personnel to minimize cost.
Non-Profit
Organization Hall: Monthly treatment for ants in
the kitchen area
The organization is very
active with many gatherings for members. The gatherings
usually involved food and children are often present.
Despite care with cleaning and storage of food, it is
impossible to clean up every crumb. We inspect the
building and treat for ants in a way appropriate for a
site where people are often present. This usually keeps
the site free of ants. We are on-call if there is a
sudden infestation of any kind, but there has been
little need and ants are the only visible occasional
pests.
Warehouse:
Monthly inspection for rodents and roaches with report
and treatment if necessary
A large food warehouse is
inspected monthly for rodents and roaches, and baits are
examined and refreshed as needed. In addition, the
canteen area is inspected and treatment is done as
needed. We keep a written log of our findings on the
site, as part of our contract. Because the doors to the
warehouse must be open at times, it is impossible to
permanently exclude rodents, but our monthly treatment
keeps them down to an acceptably low level and prevents
nesting in the warehouse.
Office Building:
On-call treatment for occasional ants and wasps at
entrance
A modern office building
with multiple tenants has occasional problems with ants
in the canteen area. The building manager calls us if
there is a persistent complaint. We have found there is
sometimes a buildup of food debris in crevices and also
underneath appliances. We inspect and make
recommendations for prevention, and can also apply
pesticides that are effective in foods areas but that
must be applied by licensed professionals to be safe. In
addition, this building has occasional problems with
wasps at the building entrance. We treat for these at
non-business times so that our presence does not disturb
building residents.
Fast Food
Restaurant: Initial intense treatment for roach
infestation followed by monthly inspection and treatment
A fast-food restaurant
changes hands and we are called in to treat the
cockroach infestation caused by poor hygiene practices
on the part of previous owners. We recommend treating
for roaches remaining after renovations and cleaning,
and recommend replacement of certain roach-infested
equipment. Once we start, we set up a weekly inspection
and treatment plan and track the roach numbers. As the
need decreases, we move to bi-weekly and then monthly
inspections and treatment. The restaurant now has an
ongoing and cost-effective inspection and treatment
plan.
